Portsmouth Hospitals NHS Trust, which is responsible for running the Queen Alexandra Hospital, is holding a public meeting on Monday 29 October 2018 at 3:30pm at the Royal Maritime Club, Queens Street, Portsmouth PO1 3HS. Talking Change are running an introducing mindfulness workshop at St James Hospital in Milton on Wednesday 14 November 2018, 10-11:30am. The workshop is provided free and would ideally suit someone with an interest in learning about mindfulness or wishing to develop their existing practice. We have received information from Portsmouth Hospitals Trust that spinal services will transfer from Queen Alexandra Hospital in Portsmouth to University Hospital in Southampton from the beginning of November 2018. It is anticipated that around 180 people, currently receiving care at QA from the Portsmouth area, will be affected. Ofsted have published the results of an inspection of Portsmouth City Council's Children's Services department and have rated the service as Good. The inspection was carried out in September 2018, the results are an improvement on the last inspection, carried out in 2014, when the service was rated as "requires improvement." Healthwatch Portsmouth Board meeting hears about future of GP services and St James and St Marys sites
On Wednesday at our Board meeting we heard from Dr Linda Collie, Chief Clinical Officer at Portsmouth Clinical Commissioning Group, which is responsible for GP services in the city.
