Help shape services for children and young people under 25 with special educational needs and disabilities

Portsmouth City Council is gathering the views of Portsmouth parents with children and young people under 25 who have special educational needs and disabilities. The views will help to shape the council's services and support availlable to the children and young people. To take part complete the SEND parent/carer survey - the clsoing date for entries is 31 December 2018

Portsmouth businesses pledge to make themselves autism-friendly by supporting Autism Hour

Portsmouth businesses are marking Autism Hour over the next few days as they pledge to make themselves more autism-friendly. Set up by the National Autistic Society Autism Hour is an effort to show what an autistic-friendly experience could be.  Research by NAS has shown that over 50% of autistic people and families avoid going to the shops as they are worried about how people will react to their autism. Health and Care Portsmouth learning disabilities celebration and learning event 10 October 2018

Health and Care Portsmouth are running a learning disabilities celebration event on Wednesday 10 October at the training academy in Gunwharf Quays (opposite Marks and Spencer) - people with learning disabilities, their families and carers and professionals are invited for a day of celebration and learning with workshops, information and stalls.
