The NHS has launched a consultation on eight drugs which it recommends should not be routinely prescribed.

These so called low value drugs have more effective or over the counter alternatives available. Currently the NHS spends over £70 million on these drugs each year and is seeking to reduce spending; it needs to know about the impact on patients.
