PHT Happy To Chat New Volunteer Team launching 24th November

Portsmouth Hospitals Trust is forming a new team of volunteers to help unpaid carers whose loved ones are in hospital or whom are in hospital themselves to access the support available to them. The Trust is recruiting to their new ‘happy to chat’ volunteer team.  The role of a Carer Aware Volunteer is to support ward and outpatient areas across the Trust, identifying and supporting unpaid carers.

The role is outlined on the attached document and can be carried out on any day M-F for a minimum of 3 hours per week, there is some online training to complete (approx. 40 minutes) and you will be fully supported in the role.

Portsmouth Hospitals Trust’s  Chief Executive Officer Mark Cubbon will be launching the new team on the afternoon of the 24th November when we have a ‘happy to chat/no-one should care alone’ information event in the atrium at QA Hospital.
