Portsmouth City Council Video Diary Project

Project one: social care video diaries

Who we’re looking for: Current social care users from a range of backgrounds. We want to get a snapshot of the different types of social care users, so we welcome applications from people using any Adult Social Care service.

What’s involved: We’re looking for people who can share their experiences – both good and bad – of navigating the social care system. We’ll expect you to complete a regular video diary over the space of two to four weeks – ideally we’d like you to record a daily update, but we can agree a frequency that works for you. You’ll need to attend two short sessions at the start and end of the project.

How will my video diary be used: Your videos will be watched by our market research officer, who will use what you share to write a report outlining your experiences in a way that will help the Adult Social Care team better understand the challenges you face – and what we can do better in the future. This report and key features of it will be shared publically, but all content will be anonymised.

When do I need to be available: You can complete your video diary between November and December 2017.
