Communities Against Cancer training and grants are now available for community groups to access to help improve early diagnosis by raising awareness of cancer in communities
The key aims of the project are to:
promote healthy lifestyles and prevention in often marginalised communities
raise awareness of the signs and symptoms of cancer
improve early detection of cancer
encourage attendance at cancer screening and to seek advice from GP practices about signs and symptoms of cancer.
Grants and training are available to community groups.
Grants of up to £2,500 are available to voluntary, community and social enterprises in Hampshire, the Isle of Wight and Dorset to support cancer awareness projects, particularly those who work with the following groups:
people with learning disabilities
people on low incomes
people experiencing mental health challenges
people from minorities ethnic communities.

Join a FREE online workshop open to all voluntary groups, charities, individuals, faith groups and social enterprises. These are friendly, informal online workshops to help to groups and communities with cancer awareness messages. These are the next dates:
