Community Funding Opportunities


Two new funding opportunities are available for local services in Portsmouth.

The Portsmouth Community Lottery is Now Open for Applications

The Portsmouth Community Lottery wants to do more to help the people of Portsmouth and support the development of a community wide local response to assist the people of Portsmouth.

The Portsmouth Community Lottery will next meet on 7th December 2022. For this round of applications, they are seeking applications from any of the Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise (VCSE) organisations in Portsmouth who would like to use the grant to help address the cost-of-living crisis in Portsmouth.

  • Maximum amount of funding you can apply for – £1000

  • Deadline for applications – 5pm Friday November 25th 2022

  • This £1000 will be used mainly to support people through the winter months of 2022/2023

  • There is no income cap for December 2022 applications – as long as you are a constituted community group, registered charity/CIO or social enterprise and your application addresses the cost-of-living crisis in Portsmouth and directly benefits Portsmouth residents then you can apply for up to £1000

Advancing Mental Health Equalities Grants Scheme 2023 /24

Grants of up to £8K are available to VCSE (Voluntary, Community and Social Enterprise) organisations across Hampshire, Southampton, Isle of Wight, and Portsmouth who can provide programmes and / or support for people who may require low level interventions or help maintain their recovery from various mental health conditions.
