The Healthwatch Portsmouth Chairperson, Roger Batterbury has issued an apology (below) today in relation to words he chose to use in an interview he gave to The News that was reported on 19th March 2021 regarding the future supply of COVID-19 vaccines. “In a recent media interview about the future Government vaccine supply in April I used language that some felt was unacceptable. I’m truly sorry. It was never my intention to cause anyone distress. I’m grateful this has been brought to my attention and to the attention of Healthwatch Portsmouth where I’m the elected Chairperson. This process of reflection will help ensure that Healthwatch Portsmouth continues to speak up for all the people of Portsmouth about health & social care in an independent and representative manner at all times.”
