People in the UK with type 1 diabetes to be offered new technology being rolled out by the NHS.
An artificial pancreas uses a sensor to monitor a person's blood glucose, then automatically adjusts the amount of insulin to give them through a pump. It will mean some people with type 1 diabetes won't need to inject themselves with insulin.
NHS England have published a 5 year implementation strategy which sets out a timeline of how local systems will give the new technology to eligible patients.
If you are eligible, you will be contacted by NHS England.
