Share your views on NHS Dentistry now!

As part of its inquiry on NHS Dentistry, the House of Commons Health and Social Care Committee is holding a roundtable in Westminster to hear the views and experiences of patients or their representatives.

When is the roundtable?

Wednesday 7th June 2023, 3.30-5pm

Who do they want to attend?

The Committee is interested in hearing from people from a range of backgrounds, in particular:

  • rural and coastal communities

  • disabled groups

  • pregnant patients

  • parents

  • those who could speak to the situation in care homes.

Will people get support to attend?

The session will take place in person on the Parliamentary Estate. The committee will work with participants to make the session as inclusive as possible and ensure that access needs are met. Reasonable travel expenses will be reimbursed.

How can people express an interest in attending?

Patients or their representatives who are interested in attending the roundtable can express their interest via email to selcomengagement@parliament.uk. The committee asks people to include brief details on their experience on this topic, as well as the region they live in.

What is the deadline for expressing interest?

The committee says, ideally by Thursday 1 June. (this is flexible so even if you miss it, submit your interest anyway!)

How will participants’ views be used by the Committee?

Committee staff will take notes of the discussion in order to produce an anonymised, summary note, which will be shared with participants to review before it is published.

The committee may also seek permission to take photos or videos at the roundtable, and these may be used by the Committee when communicating about the inquiry e.g. on social media.
