Take Vitamin D During Autumn and Winter – Advises the Government.



During the autumn and winter months the sunlight is weaker, which in turn reduces our body’s ability to take Vitamin D from the sunlight.


The government advise taking supplements to enhance our Vitamin D levels, but some foods are also a good source of Vitamin D. Oily fish – such as salmon, sardines, herring and mackerel, red meat, liver, egg yolks and fortified foods – such as some fat spreads and breakfast cereals.
