The Hampshire and Isle of Wight Integrated Care System is looking at developing a digital system across the area which offers GP appointments online and video-based appointments. The NHS area team have also been thinking about how they can support people to live healthier lives using digital services. Healthwatch have been working with the local NHS team, supporting the gathering of feedback from people across Hampshire and the Isle of Wight area. We have just been informed about a couple of workshops that NHS Hampshire and The Isle of Wight are hosting to gather more detailed knowledge about patient interest in using digital appointments and consultation services and to consider the potential barriers for people using them (so that these can be reduced in the planning of these services). Using technology to support your health: Tuesday 4th May 2021, 1-3:30pm (online session, joining details to follow) NHS Hampshire and Isle of Wight are currently looking to develop information websites and smartphone apps to support people to manage their day to day health. They would like to hear if and how you might want to use systems such as these in the future.
